CERT Program of Kirkland, WA

Permission for Image Distribution

Occasionally, during CERT training, students and staff may be photographed or videotaped.   Usually this is limited to the practice sessions that provide for interesting images.   The images are used in the following manner:

  • To share with students, as a fun record of the course
  • To illustrate proper and improper methods of using particular skills
  • To inform the public about the program, in general
  • To advertise upcoming courses to the public

Students tend to bond quickly and photos that staff and students take are generally shared with the whole class, so everyone enjoys the memories.

Images that are used for the purpose of informing the public or advertising courses may be displayed through:

  • City media (i.e., City website, KGOV television station, City Update)
  • Commercial media (i.e., local radio and television stations and newspapers)
  • Bulletins provided for distribution to local businesses, schools, churches, library, etc.
  • Publications developed to inform the public about the program, such as the CERT brochure
  • Documents provided to Government agencies or foundations that help support the program

Note: photos are taken and used with discretion and respect for program participants.

Please assist us in increasing the value of the course and advertising it to the public, by completing the following:

I                                                                     , agree to allow Kirkland City staff and fellow CERT students to capture my image in still photograph or videotape for the purpose of sharing these images with fellow students, informing the public about the program or advertising courses.
